Celebrity Face Masks (celebrity-facemasks.com) is a trading name of Depth Charge Design & Print Ltd, company number 09618286, registered office Unit 1, Balmforth Business Park, Sawmill Lane, Helmsley, York, YO62 5DQ. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you order or contact us: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, telephone number and order details. If you order a personalised mask, we also receive the photo and any text you upload, which we use only to make your order.
Payment details: card and wallet payments are handled securely by our payment providers (PayPal and Stripe, including Google Pay). We never see or store your full card number.
When you browse: your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and how you arrived at our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see below).
How we use your information, and our legal basis
- To make, send and support your order, including delivery updates. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- To keep accounting and tax records and prevent fraud. Legal basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
- To answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- To send marketing emails, only if you have opted in or are an existing customer who has not opted out. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Legal basis: consent / soft opt-in.
- To measure our website and advertising, and to show you relevant ads, only if you accept those cookies. Legal basis: consent.
Personalised photos
Photos you upload for a personalised mask are used only to print your order. We keep them only as long as needed to make your order and deal with any reprint or query, then delete them. Please only upload photos you have the right to use.
Cookies and advertising
We use essential cookies to run the shop (for example your basket and checkout). With your consent, we also use analytics and advertising cookies from Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to understand how the site is used, measure our ads and show you relevant ads on other sites. When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline these; you can change your choice at any time using the “Manage Website Data Collection Preferences” link at the bottom of every page. You can also opt out of personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com.
Who we share your information with
We share only what is needed with: our e-commerce platform (BigCommerce), payment providers (PayPal, Stripe), delivery carriers (Royal Mail), our email provider, and Google and Meta for analytics and advertising where you have consented. Some of these providers process data outside the UK; where they do, they use legally recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses. We never sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Order and accounting records are kept for 6 years to meet UK tax law. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Personalised photos are deleted as described above.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to its use (including for direct marketing), and receive a copy of it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details below; we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
